Prior to founding Applause, I received a bachelor's degree in business & entrepreneurship from BYU and a law degree from UCLA.  In 2014 I founded Slingshot — a customer engagement and software company — and served as the CEO until it's acquisition in 2021.  During that time I noticed that a lot of service companies were struggling to hire, motivate, and retain their frontline workers.  Employees were burnt out and lacked the financial incentive to consistently engage in the workforce.  That's why we started Applause.  We make it easier to hire, motivate and retain employees by providing them with better financial benefits & incentives. We believe that when employees' wages are higher, paid faster, and enhanced with performance bonuses, everyone wins – businesses have enough workers, employees' financial lives are better, and customers receive prompt and friendly service.
